Nicolas Labatut

Founder & CEO

After two decades of working in the Asia-Pacific region within international groups in the education and technology sectors, Nicolas decided to establish Ephebos in February 2021. His goal was to offer a more holistic education to children and to provide advisory services to educational institutions worldwide.

Before founding Ephebos, Nicolas served as the Regional Finance Director at Nord Anglia Education. During his tenure, he played a key role in the group's expansion in China, where the number of schools grew from 8 to 19 in just four years. This growth was primarily driven by the establishment of new bilingual schools, thereby creating the capacity to educate over 20,000 Chinese children.

Prior to his tenure at Nord Anglia Education, Nicolas held various senior finance positions at Thales, a global technology leader. Over his 16 years with Thales, he gained extensive international experience, with postings in Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Sydney, Australia, where he managed large contracts on a global scale.

Nicolas has earned a double Executive MBA from INSEAD and Tsinghua University.

As a father of four children from 3 to 13 years old — Carla, Margot, Louis and Juliette — Nicolas sees education as his purpose and is dedicated to using business as a force for good.
